Crusader Community Health Medical Careers Annual Scholarship

Medical Assistant – Awarded to an applicant who is accepted into the Associate of Applied Science Medical Assistant Degree Program. Recipient must reside within Community College District 511, with preference given to those residents of Boone and Winnebago Counties. Preference will also be given to applicants who are underserved, underrepresented, or first generation college students. GPA is not required to receive the scholarship, but the recipient must have a 2.75 GPA for the first semester in order to receive the scholarship for the second semester. Preference is given to full-time students. Recipient must demonstrate financial need by completing the financial aid process through the Rock Valley College Financial Aid Office, or through other means made available to the RVC Foundation Staff. Recipient is also guaranteed an interview for the required externship that takes place during the final semester of the program.
