Pi Gamma Omega Trailblazer Scholarship

Jefferson High School Graduate – Awarded to an African American female applicant, with preference given to a graduate of Jefferson High School. Applicant must be willing to connect with a mentoring opportunity such as, but not limited to, RVC TRIO, RVC Peer Mentoring Program, or a program established by the members of Pi Gamma Omega Sorority within our region. Applicants must be pursuing a degree from Rock Valley College and have a high school or RVC GPA of 2.5 or above with preference given to applicants with a GPA between 2.5. and 3.25. Applicant may be a new or returning student. Demonstrated financial need is preferred, but not required. Applicants qualifying for the scholarship must submit an essay. Recipient will receive the scholarship for two years providing they continue to meet the criteria, and re-apply each year.
