The Navy Club organization refers to our clubs as “Ships”. We welcome recipients, and/or their families, of our award, to contact us and/or come by and visit the Ship. We have regular Ship meetings the first Monday of each month. Times of the meetings can vary due to circumstances. Our scholarship is not named for any one person but rather on behalf of our Ship/organization. As a matter of policy, our National organization, encourages Ships to get involved in their local communities and address needs and projects that members can participate or contribute towards for the betterment of all. Locally, we also prepare, cook food for our homeless veterans (at our Ship) and take that to their location {15th Avenue & S. 4th Street) where we serve the food to the vets and share fellowship. Our members participate in the Memorial Day Parade and the yearly Veteran’s Dinner, and serve on committees of various other veteran organizations.
