EUGENE POCS OBITUARY
Eugene Pocs, 90, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Rockford, Illinois. Born in Atasiene, Latvia on November 20, 1932, son to Francis and Paulina (Garanca) Pocs.

He earned a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from the University of Illinois. In Rockford, he was employed at Ingersoll, self employed as a tax preparer and retired from Rock Valley College after a 20+ year career as a Professor of Engineering.

He is survived by those who loved him most, his wife of 66 years, Mara; his sons Paul (Velta), Martin (Christy), Arnis (Krystal), and David (Jennifer); his grandchildren Nadia, Lilija, Erica, Lara, Elena, Sofia, and Larsen; his sister Mary Sventeckis and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Ollie.
